What is Coliving?Coliving is a modern housing concept where individuals share living spaces and amenities while pursuing their personal and professional endeavors. It fosters a vibrant community of like-minded individuals, offering not just a place to stay, but also opportunities for collaboration, networking, and cultural exchange. In a coliving space like NomadUnion, residents enjoy the benefits of shared spaces, such as kitchens, lounges, and work areas, creating a dynamic environment conducive to both productivity and social interaction. Additionally, residents often travel together and explore the surrounding area, enriching their experiences and forming lasting bonds with fellow nomads.
-
Is it like a hostel? No, NomadUnion is not a hostel. While hostels typically cater to short-term stays and larger groups of travelers, NomadUnion offers a different experience. With a minimum stay of one month, our "Villa Coliving" concept creates a smaller, more intimate community of usually 6-8 people. Our villa provides a higher standard of accommodation compared to traditional hostels, with comfortable and well-appointed living spaces designed to feel like a home away from home. Additionally, NomadUnion is specifically tailored for remote workers, with amenities and facilities designed to meet the unique needs of remote professionals, such as high-speed internet, dedicated workspaces, and a quiet environment conducive to productivity. So while we share the spirit of community and camaraderie found in hostels, NomadUnion offers a more exclusive and personalized experience tailored for longer-term stays and a more discerning clientele of remote workers.

What are the Curated Coliving Retreat Months?Curated Coliving Retreat Months are specially themed stays at NomadUnion designed for specific groups, such as digital nomads aged 40+, couples, or professionals seeking focused networking. These retreats include tailored activities, group excursions, and shared experiences, fostering a sense of community while exploring the beauty of the Côte d'Azur. Each retreat offers a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals in our cozy villa.

What is the difference between the normal Coliving and the retreats? Our normal Coliving experience is perfect for independent digital nomads looking for a productive and vibrant community to connect with. It’s a more flexible and budget-friendly option, with activities that are less structured and more community-driven. Guests often organize shared dinners, trips, or outings together, creating an organic and relaxed atmosphere where productivity, meaningful connections, and exploring the beautiful Côte d’Azur go hand in hand. The retreats, on the other hand, are curated month-long experiences with a specific theme or focus. They include carefully planned group activities, usually transportation for excursions, and sometimes shared costs for things like community dinners. Retreats require more planning and coordination, so they’re slightly more expensive but provide a more structured and immersive experience, ideal for those looking to dive deeper into the area and connect with like-minded peers.

Where is NomadUnion?NomadUnion is nestled in the heart of the French Riviera, ideally located between the vibrant cities of Nice and Cannes. Our coliving space is approximately 2 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, providing easy access to stunning beaches and coastal views. Situated in a tranquil suburban neighborhood known for its luxury villas, NomadUnion offers a peaceful and safe environment for residents. While not in an urban city center, we are well-connected to nearby destinations. Antibes, our main go-to city, is easily accessible via a direct local bus, and with a bit of trip planning, you can reach other highlights like Monaco, Cannes, or Nice by train or bus. For weekend day trips, we often rent a car and share the costs, making it even easier to explore breathtaking spots and hidden gems together as a group. Our location strikes a unique balance: close enough for exciting day trips to explore the Côte d'Azur, yet tucked away in a serene setting perfect for remote work and unwinding. NomadUnion is ideal for digital nomads seeking community, productivity, and adventure in the South of France.

Do I need a car or is there public transportation? How to get around?Generally, you don't need a car to get around. Our coliving space is connected to public transportation, with a local bus stop just steps away. This bus connects to the nearest train station (5mins) by the coast or Antibes city center (20mins), providing access to other popular destinations along the coast, from Italy, Monaco, Nice to Cannes and more. The bus departs every 20-40 mins or even less on weekends and usually stops at 8pm, so you will need to plan your trips ahead. However, you can reach the train station from NomadUnion also by walking for about 25-30 minutes. We also offer (e-)bikes for additional flexibility. It takes around 20mins to get to Antibes or 10mins to do groceries. During July and August, there is a free shuttle bus service from NomadUnion to the train station every 20 mins for added convenience. So, if you plan to explore the region's cities and coastal towns, a car is not necessary. However, if you wish to venture into more remote areas, explore the nearby Alps or just regularly want to go out at night, having a car can offer added flexibility. Fortunately, there are affordable rental options available nearby. Additionally, ride-sharing services like Bolt, Uber, and Freenow operate in the area, providing convenient transportation, especially for late-night outings but can get expensive when used frequently. We have drafted a detailed how to get around guide giving you exact overview of the transportation means available. How to get around guide

How to get there?Ride sharing Bolt and Uber operate from the Airport to our Coliving. It takes around 15 minutes and the price is around 25€. This is the most convenient option. To reduce the costs, you can also first take a bus or train to Gare Biot and order a ride from there. Nice Airport Tip: At Terminal 2, there’s a special Uber/Bolt pickup section downstairs. Access Issues: Not all drivers can access this area—some may stop upstairs at the Kiss & Fly (Dépose minute). To reach the Kiss & Fly area: Walk through the stairs in the parking lot, then cross the small passenger bridge. Public Transportation 1. Bus 620 or Train to Gare Biot: You can hop on Bus 620 heading towards Cannes or take the train from Nice Saint Augustin Station, both leading to Gare Biot, which is the closest bigger train and bus station. The Trams between Airport Terminal 2, Terminal 1 and the Train station Nice Saint Augustin are for free. While the train may be slightly pricier than the Bus, it tends to be more reliable and quicker, especially during busy times. Both options are available on Google Maps. For the bus, simply purchase your ticket onboard, while for the train, ensure you pay for and validate your ticket beforehand. You can buy train tickets either at the station or via the SNCF Connect App. In general it is recommended to use the SNCF Connect App for the train connections. 2a. Envibus Bus 10 from Gare Biot to NomadUnion Coliving (Ch. des Cabots): Upon arrival at Gare Biot, catch Bus 10 heading towards Sophia-Antipolis/Valbonne, operated by our local bus service, Envibus. Get off at Chemin des Cabots, which is just a 2-minute walk from NomadUnion. It's important to mention that while you can't purchase Envibus tickets through the SNCF Connect App, nor view live timings, you can download the Envibus Cap Azur App and Envibus Ticket App for both ticket purchase and validation onboard the bus. Envibus Cap Azur App: This app provides live timings, helping you plan your travel more efficiently. Envibus Ticket App: Use this app to purchase and validate your tickets directly on the bus. 2b. Walking from Gare Biot to NomadUnion: In the event of unforeseen circumstances or if you prefer a leisurely stroll, you can walk from Gare Biot to NomadUnion. It's about a 25-30-minute walk, allowing you to soak in the surroundings and stretch your legs after a long flight while making your way to your destination. By following these steps, you'll smoothly navigate your way to NomadUnion and begin your stay hassle-free. Also please find more information in our How to get around Guide . While convenient for quick items, it can be a bit pricey, so we usually reserve it for smaller purchases.
